Our Ortho-K Fitting Process
A successful orthokeratology outcome depends on precision at every stage. Our fitting process spans five visits over approximately one month, ensuring your lenses are perfectly tailored and your eyes are responding as expected.
Dr Meskin conducts a comprehensive eye examination including full refraction, visual acuity testing, and a detailed review of your ocular health. We discuss your lifestyle, goals, and whether ortho-k is the right fit for you.
Using advanced topography technology, we create a precise 3D map of your corneal surface. This data drives the custom lens design — no two corneas are alike, and your lenses are manufactured specifically for your eyes.
Your custom lenses arrive and we fit them in-practice. Dr Meskin checks the fit and centration, then walks you through insertion, removal, and cleaning — step by step, until you feel completely comfortable.
After your first week of wear, we reassess corneal topography and visual acuity to confirm the lenses are reshaping your cornea correctly. Minor adjustments to lens parameters are made at this stage if needed.
A full review at the one-month mark confirms stable correction and healthy corneal response. We establish your ongoing monitoring schedule — typically every six months — to track myopia progression and lens performance over time.
